The current average 30-year fixed mortgage rate climbed 5 basis points from 6.38% to 6.43% on Wednesday, Zillow announced.

The 30-year fixed mortgage rate on October 23, 2024, is up 24 basis points from the previous week's average rate of 6.19%.

Additionally, the current national average 15-year fixed mortgage rate increased 9 basis points from 5.69% to 5.78%. The current national average 5-year ARM mortgage rate is down 1 basis point from 6.79% to 6.78%.
