Origin of the Livingston Name
The neighborhood of Livingston got its name when Staten Island Railway officials bought a mansion from a local resident named Anson Livingston and decided to name a nearby station after him. The station was located where Richmond Terrace and Bard Avenue meet today, on the North Shore branch of the railway. Passenger service on the line stopped in 1953, and the station has been removed, but the tracks are still there.

Outerbridge, the namesake of the Outerbridge Crossing, and the park is named after Randolph St. George Walker Jr., a World War I casualty and friend of her brother.
